The PTO dropbox that had been on this had the bottom nearly broken off and was scrapped

I had another but after cleaning, it too had a small water freeze crack that needed welding

The crack on the inside was sealed with Seal-All

Which dries hard and is oil/fuel resistant so hopefully there will be no seepage

The PTO mounted and spinning so far so good

Here is a short video of the PTO and exhaust
movie clip

The right brake needed attention, it didn't come apart well

I had a few spare brake bands ready to go so it is all good again

The other side works properly and looks OK so I'll leave it as is for now

The steering was lose and the front wheels wobbled driving in road gear

I took the opportunity to clean up the hubs and paint them

The steering shafts were very worn, here a new shaft has a pilot hole

Then the new hole is drilled. The old worn shaft can be seen here as well

The hole is reamed for a clean hole of the correct size

The shaft that gets the screw gear needs to be knurled where the bearings ride

What the assembled shaft looks like

We replaced the original double start gear with a single start easy steer gear

Some information on the Easy Steer

The long shaft is attached to the steering wheel and painted
