The motor was stuck so some teardown was required

Only one piston was stuck and it broke free without too much persuasion

The engine was really oily but February is not the time to pressure wash outside

At least the head is clean when it goes back on

The shop manual calls for corks to plug the ends of the rocker arm assembly

This side is ready for the manifold

The manifold is fairly fragile but will work for now.

There is a carburetor somewhere on the bench

The haze lets you know it's running - 2 weeks after getting it home

After the tappets are adjusted and a little assembly it's time to play

Plenty of smoke, a rebuild is in order but one has to have some fun

Pulling stumps - the grass wasn't very nice there anyway
