The whole bottom of the tank was covered in thick epoxy that was peeling

I used a torch and after a real toasting the epoxy scraped off nicely

Bead blasting revealed a couple more holes on the front

POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser revealed a few more holes on the side

POR-15 Metal Prep etching rust neutralizer does the final preparation
Here is the results after the POR-15 fuel tank sealer has coated the inside

With the new fuel gauge installed and masked the tank is primed

And painted yellow

The steering wheel was in bad shape and needing replacement, the nut almost rusted away

The nut came loose with a hammer and punch and with a kerf cut the wheel came off with a puller

New steering wheel with a new 13/16" - 20 UNEF nut

The new emblem gives a nice touch

The avaialable generator is correct except for the D17 pulley

The D15 needs a pulley like this

The shaft is a proper length and a correct pulley is available from Brillman

But a keyway needs to be cut, Gary's wire EDM made short work of that

A few things are coming together and it runs well
