Exhaust manifold gaskets will be needed
Cleaned and mounted with no gaskets shows #4 exhaust in tough shape
The manifold needs a trip to Gary's shop to be resurfaced
I cut off the pipe that was welded on so an original muffler can be used
The surface grinder will need to remove a lot to get to a good surface
The broken bolt was drilled out and new threads cut for the muffler mount
With the surfaces all flat it is ready to mount
Some pitting but I think new gaskets should seal
New gaskets on and it is flat and tight to the head
Good thing the aftermarket suppliers make the thermostat housing
and what the new one looks like
This is the distributor spark advance after a good cleaning
The shaft feels good so I think the distributor can be reassembled
The coil works well and touched up nicely
The generator and starter just got a cleaning and degreasing and some new black paint
