The headlight connection block cleaned up nice

The lights look good mounted and shining. The sheet metal is not good we may have to keep our eyes open for a better one.

The grill is a black bar from a 1959 or 1960 tractor. After lots of straightening and welding it is still not nice but will have to do until we can find a correct one in better shape

It was bent in badly, it is better but since it is not made for this grill shroud there is no place to attach it at the top

The Black Bar grill that was used in 59 and 60 had silver color on the expanded metal and was only black on the frame and bars. Since it is not and never will be nice I'm just spraying the whole thing black

Mounted and wiring to the lights complete it's good to see the lights come on when the switch is pulled

The new steering wheel got some Persian Orange bling instead of the all black that it came with

The clutch pedal is being replaced due to wear and excessive slop, the new one likely came from a D15, it has the extension on the back that keeps it from traveling too far back

All the coolant hoses were replaced as was the carb to air cleaner hose. With the fuel tank, steering wheel, and clutch pedal mounted it is starting to look like it's farther along than it is.

The tank hold down strap looks nice with new protective underlayment.

I decided to make a new steel fuel line to feed the rebuilt carburetor

It looks to be a straight shot but it needs to curve around behind the air cleaner oil cup

It was decided to replace the snap coupler spring for safety. Good thing too as the old spring was broken.

The spring is a bit tricky to install and the shaft holding things together will have to come out to put it back on the tractor which was another bit of fun.
